Children & young people

Support that considers development, relationships and the wider system

Children and young people need services that recognise their rights, strengths, communication, relationships and stage of development. Effective work also requires adults and organisations to provide safety, consistency and accountable decision-making.

Areas we can support

Ardenvia’s divisions may contribute to care and support planning, therapeutic input, reflective practice, service review, safeguarding, workforce development, transition planning and strategic service design. The exact response will depend on the child or young person’s needs and the commissioning context.

Principles for this work

  • Listen to the child or young person and explain decisions in an accessible way.
  • Understand behaviour in context without overlooking harm or safeguarding.
  • Work with families and networks where appropriate, lawful and beneficial.
  • Maintain clear roles across care, education, health and social work.
  • Plan transitions early and avoid avoidable breaks in support.
  • Review whether plans are improving daily experience, safety and progress.

Commissioning discussion

Tell us the age group, setting, intended outcome, key risks, current arrangements and decision timeframe. We will identify which division or combination of expertise may be relevant.
